Michael Harris Fund at CHC

It has been over six years since the Michael Harris Foundation and Children’s Health Council partnered to launch the Michael Harris Fund at CHC in response to the growing need for support for teens with signs of anxiety depression and suicidal ideation. Michael Harris was passionate about helping those around him both personally and professionally – and inspired us all when he committed his professional career to improving adolescent mental health.

With the help of our dear family, friends, and community members, the Michael Harris Fund has raised over $650,000 to provide life-changing therapy to over 500 clients a year.

The Michael Harris Fund supports the following programs:

  • Financial assistance for individual therapy

  • The RISE intensive outpatient program (250+ teen graduates)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups for teens

  • Free parent support groups

  • Financial assistance for individual therapy

  • Free CHC Resource Library and outreach programs

Our annual fundraiser is the CHC SteelMike Shootout 3V3 basketball tournament. This community-wide family day includes competitive tournament play, CHC wellness booths, a knockout competition, food, prizes, and more.
